Relationship to Pratt — Graduate Student
Year of Object — 1980 to 1982
Location — ARC building

Please find enclosed five photographs which were taken when I was a graduate student working on my Masters of Photography from 1980 to 1982.  These are recent prints of the originals and are as true to the first prints as I am now able to make.  Please feel free to use any or all of them for the RECALL show.

Both of my parents attended Pratt, ten years apart from each other, and in two different departments:  Engineering for my father and Dietary Science for my mother.  Growing up I would read the Pratt Alumni newsletter and was impressed by all the achievements of the school and its students.  When I was ready to further my studies in art photography, Pratt was my natural choice.  I lived in the Willoughby Dormitory continuously, even during the summer.  I also spent the majority of hours of my life at Pratt in the ARC building locked in a darkroom-coming out only for food or sleep.  I studied with Arthur Feed, Phil Perkis and David Horton from the summer of 1980 to the spring semester of 1982.  The three professors recognized what I was trying to do with my camera and helped me achieve the vision inside me.  I will always be thankful for the help and support they gave.
